RINGO meetings are held daily at 0900. Please see below for meeting locations. Onsite RINGO steering committee members are the only ones who are allowed to pick tickets up from the Secretariat.  Onsite RINGO steering committee members have final say in ticket distribution/access allocation.

There will be a RINGO meeting tomorrow 5 November 2021 between 9:00 and 9:45 in Side Event Room Strangford Lough.  

Based on our understanding as of 0100 4 November 2021, tickets are not needed to access the negotiating rooms on 05 November.  Rather, for negotiation meeting rooms, there will be at least one name plate reserved for each NGO constituency.  (There may be more space available, we have just have at least one seat committed for the constituency). RINGO will determine who will be able to occupy the RINGO seat at each negotiation session during the morning RINGO meeting.  Note: If you are able to occupy the RINGO seat during a session, you are not representing or speaking for RINGO. 

If you are unable to be in the room, you can watch the negotiations through the COP26 Platform.

Hi all –

Please be patient as we are managing a fluctuating ticketing process. When tickets are required, tickets will be distributed at each day’s RINGO meeting. If you receive a ticket, unless told otherwise – it MUST be returned. If it is not returned you and your organization will not be eligible for future tickets.

I will post more details via this weblog as we formalize or have more information about the process.

Do not email the CFP focal points to ask for tickets. We are not able to respond to those emails.

Further to our communication on the restrictions during the World Leaders’ Summit, please find below access restrictions of all observer organizations during the two days. 

• Date: 1 and 2 November 2021
• Time: all day
• Restricted areas: the entire Zones E and F 
• Exceptions: 
  • Party badge holders
  • UN badge holders
  • Plenary access card holders
• For IGO delegates, further information on the distribution of plenary access cards and WLS tickets will be sent shortly.
• For NGO delegates, plenary access cards and WLS tickets will be distributed through NGO Constituencies in accordance with the established practice. 

The area will be screened by UNDSS. During the two days of the World Leaders Summit, additional temporary restrictions to movement of participants may be in place depending on the evolving situations on site. In accordance with the guidelines for participation including the UN administrative instruction on authority of United Nations security officers, please follow any instructions that staff from UN Department of Safety and Security and the secretariat may issue on site. Dear RINGO Colleagues,

The UN Climate Change Dialogues, organized by the SBI and SBSTA Chairs, will take place virtually from Nov 23 – 4 December, 2020. They are intended to “provide a platform for Parties and other stakeholders to showcase progress made in 2020 and exchange views and ideas across the subsidiary bodies and COP agendas mandated for 2020.” You will find more specific information at this link, including the overview list and daily schedule.

Each observer constituency has been asked to invite members to offer up to 4 “special events” during the Climate Change Dialogues (see description below), which will be listed on the UNFCCC website.  All special events should relate to topics under discussion at the Dialogues. The deadline for proposing a special event is Monday, November 16, 2020.

Given this short deadline, RINGO has decided to have members who want to organize special events express their interest directly to the Secretariat via this link.  RINGO will not hold a selection process for the up to 4 limit established by the Secretariat.  Instead this quota will be chosen on a first-come basis.  When using this link, please make sure to list RINGO as the answer to the first question.

Observers are invited to attend sessions that are open to them.  All sessions that are broadcast are open to everyone. Links for live webcasts are provided on the daily schedule.  

In addition, each constituency is allowed to nominate two members to attend via a separate platform, on which observers will be able to engage more by possibly posing questions and making short statements.  If you are interested in being nominated, please complete this UNFCCC Climate Dialogues RINGO Sign-up form.  If we have more than two names, we will randomly select two names from those who expressed interest by FRIDAY NOVEMBER 13 at noon eastern time. 

Please note that you may see sessions listed on the Climate Dialogues page that are not listed here on this form.  That is either because we are not able to send observers, or the session is related to constituted body (CB) work and RINGO has chosen to send members who have been previously engaged with the CBs. 

Even though our RINGO listserv is open to many, please know that we may ONLY nominate people associated with an admitted NGO that has chosen to affiliate with the RINGO constituency.  If you are not sure, you can check the constituency status of observer organizations at this link: https://unfccc.int/process/parties-non-party-stakeholders/non-party-stakeholders/admitted-ngos/list-of-admitted-ngos.  

Processing these nominations require a lot of work in a short amount of time.  We appreciate you taking care to meet the Friday deadline and only applying if you meet the accreditation and affiliation criteria.  And remember, if you are not nominated to a session, you may watch it on webcast.
