RINGO is able to nominate attendees to certain intersessional meetings. In order to be nominated, an applicant must be affiliated with an organization whose primary constituency affiliation is RINGO. When selecting nominees, the RINGO Steering Committee considers:
- constituency affiliation
- expertise
- reasons for wanting to participate
- how individuals plan to report back to the RINGO membership
- if nominate has already been nominated by our constituency to this meeting
- if nominee has followed the work of this group
- nominee’s specific and documented research or practical expertise on related issues; or
- nominees from developing countries
It is expected that selected RINGO members will attend the meeting; applicants should understand that we cannot replace nominees easily and so their decision to be nominated but not attend prevents other RINGOs from participating. The RINGO Steering Committee wants you to know that Steering Committee members who apply do not participate in the selection process.
