COP 30

This page is the main repository of information for RINGOS for COP30.  Please check this page regularly as more details will be added here as they become available.

As you are preparing to attend COP30, we encourage you to take advantage of the pre-COP webinars that RINGO prepared in conjunction with Second Nature and UC3.

RINGOs will meet each morning at Side Event Room 5 (Area C) from 09.00 – 09.55 hrs from 10 – 21 November 2025 (excluding 16 November).

These daily meetings are intended to provide a platform of discussion about the ongoing negotiations, as well as facilitate networking and provide the opportunity to share research results.  Constituency meetings are not posted on the daily schedule after the first day, but the date, time, and location remain the same unless otherwise indicated.

Webcast on COP30 Virtual Platform. Please note that we are still finalizing on-the-ground operational details to ensure the RINGO Daily Coordination Meetings can be live-streamed. If this is finalised, please look for the tab “Coordination Meetings” on the Virtual Platform for the meeting log-in details.

During daily coordination meetings, RINGO features daily updates on the negotiations as well as an opportunity for community building.  We invite guest experts to provide more detail on negotiation topics.

Observer access to negotiation meetings that are procedurally open:

  • The practice of 9 reserved seats to ensure constituency access to open negotiation meetings in case of overcrowding will be expanded to all negotiation rooms. In that regard, please note the following:
    • The access order to negotiation rooms is: Party, NGO Constituency representatives (for the 9 seats), UN, IGO, other NGOs, Party Overflow.
    • Parties always have priority. In the case of demand, the reserved seats would be given to Parties and constituencies would be asked to follow through the virtual platform.
    • Parties may also bring their experts/advisors regardless of the badge type and would have priority over observers.
    • After all Parties have entered, NGO Constituency representatives may enter to take up the 9 reserved seats.
    • As in the past, observers are kindly asked to organize amongst your constituencies to select one representative.
    • These are the arrangements to help ensure a minimum floor for observer representation in open negotiation meetings in case of overcrowding. If there is enough space, none of the restrictions will be applied.

It is impossible to be everywhere at COP or to even be there at all!  To support one another, RINGO members are often willing to share notes from meetings they attend.  Please email notes that you are able to contribute to melissa@ringofocalpoint.org. Meeting notes will be posted on the COP30 notes page as they become available.

Note: Because of the large number of side events and exhibits organized by our members, we are unable to promote individual side events on this page.  Please see the UNFCCC side events webpage for a schedule of side events and the UNFCCC exhibits page for a list of exhibits.

Side Events Webcast Page: Side Events will be broadcast live at the time and date indicated (CET), and are available to view on demand for a limited time after the event.
