Majlis Access

There are no tickets for the Majlis sessions being held today, 10 December at 1500, in the Al Waha Theater. Each constituency was allowed two attendees and your focal points, Beth Martin and Tracy Bach will be attending for RINGO.

The Majlis will be streamed on the platform and into overflow room MR 6.

COP Day 3 – Ticketing

Hi all –
Here is how the ticketing process is working. Thank you all for your patience at the RINGO meeting this morning and thank you in advance for your patience with this process over the two weeks of COP.

RINGO has one ticket for each negotiation agenda item. That one ticket is valid for all of the negotiation sessions for that agenda item for the entire 2 weeks. Please note – that the ticket simply guarantees that RINGOs are able to have one member in each negotiation item in case the room is full. (The ticket holder however must be at the door prior to the session starting.) If the meeting is open and there is space, RINGO observers can attend without a ticket. If the ticket is lost, we will NOT receive another.

Individual RINGO members are taking responsibility for the tickets for specific agenda items. If you are interested in an agenda item and want to know who has the ticket for that item, please email beth@ringofocalpoint.org.

Rules for using a ticket:

  1. Your badge must be issued by a RINGO organization
  2. You need to be willing to be responsible for the ticket – if the ticket is lost – we will NOT get another.
  3. Take notes at meeting. Share notes with beth@ringofocalpoint.org
  4. If meeting is popular and others cannot get in – must pass ticket on to other RINGOs for future sessions.
    • If you pass ticket on – you are responsible for:
      • knowing who you passed ticket to and
      • arranging to get it back.
  5. Attend RINGO meeting so that ticket can be shared with others.

Thank you,

Beth and Tracy, your RINGO CFPs

Young RINGOs

Hi all – At each COP we work to try to organize our young researchers – early career, post-docs, grad students and undergraduates. This year we have a WhatsApp group that has been created to facilitate collaboration and social interaction!

If you are a Young RINGO – you can join the WhatsApp group by licking on this link – https://chat.whatsapp.com/JDF3KXryvHBDXelSbsRH1E.

Thank you to Jessica Hellmann from the University of Minnesota and Gillian Bowser from Colorado State University for organizing!

Share your negotiation session notes!

Hi all –

Like I mentioned in the coordinating meeting this morning, RINGO posts notes of contact groups and informal sessions on our notes page. It is a service we provide to the RINGO and the broader COP community. See the notes page for how to share notes. Once you send, we will post as soon as we can. It is a bit bare right now – so please share away :-).

Best,

Beth

PS – We do not post notes of side events or pavilion events – just negotiating sessions.
